My feelings about being an online student.

First of all this is my first attempt at blogging, so please bear with me while I get used to this.

I thoroughly enjoy being an online student. It is different I admit, but I like being able to attend school anytime or anywhere. It is so nice to have the flexibility that online classes present. I also like being able to work independently, at my own pace. I believe it makes me work a little bit harder. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at first, as to whether an online college education was as good as a traditional education. Now that I am in my 4th term, I believe for the most part it is. I can see where for some it would have its drawbacks. Socialization for some would be an issue, but for me socialization was not one of the top points in my learning style, so it does not bother me. I can see where it would be hard for others to adapt to, especially those who have just graduated from high school, or who have not been out very long, and are used to having a lot of friends around all the time. I personally like being anonymous; however, it does make it hard to interact with classmates when you do not know their personalities. For me, the good outweighs the bad. If online school was not available, I would not be able to further my education. Something that I have put off for far too long. Instead of putting off my education because of family, I can now earn my education because of family, and with my family around.
